Healing can be approached through five interconnected pathways, each offering unique methods for integration and well-being.
The cognitive approach involves understanding and processing thoughts to make sense of experiences.
The sensory approach engages the body and emotions, allowing healing through physical sensations and feelings.
The intuitive approach taps into inner wisdom, spiritual insights, and intuition, guiding healing from within.
The natural approach connects us with nature and the elements, helping us find grounding and orientation.
The relational approach focuses on our connections with others and ourselves, fostering healing through relationships and interactions.

Everyone has such a unique presentation and set of circumstances that its important that there are multiple approaches available for clients to heal complex or relational trauma.
The timing, their capacity to self regulate or self resource, their preferences all come into play when deciding what approach might be best for them.
Sometimes their nervous system requires upregulating and activation and other times its better supported into a receptive and downregulated state.
Lets look at the use of pendulation and titration for example and how effective they can be when combined. When used together, pendulation and titration create a balanced and effective method for trauma healing.
Pendulation ensures that you don’t stay in a state of distress for too long, while titration allows you to process trauma at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
